Writing a blog

I want to start writing a blog. I have this sense that I have things I want to say, but I'm unsure what. Perhaps by writing a blog I can capture more ideas and refine what I have into useful things for myself and others.

First, I need to learn some ideas around what constitutes good blog writing. David Perell seems to be pretty dominant in the space of interviewing writers. I wonder how much writing advice is idiosyncratic, and how much actually applies to everyone who wants to write well.

I could also read The Art of Nonfiction by Ayn Rand again. From memory, she was of the opinion that good nonfiction uses anecdotes/moments/events/examples to explain the broader point a writer wants to make. This makes me think of the Daniel Dennett idea of 'Intuition Pumps'. Perhaps I should read that book too (in this case, for the first time).
